Takay

A ten-seat Edomae counter behind a Zen garden on Coral Way
Glen Kotlyarski cooked at the Michelin-starred Hiden before opening Takay with Yoni Matz in July 2026. Ten seats, 800 square feet, and a Zen garden to walk through before the counter. Tokyo firm KTX designed the room, hanging a hinoki-wood installation modeled on Hokusai's Great Wave above the diners.
The cooking is Edomae: fish flown in from Japan, produce sourced from Miami farms. Seventeen courses run $225, twenty run $275. Ten seats and two sittings a night, so book several weeks out.

Incredible food, service, and vibe. Very considerate of dietary restrictions, i let them know in advance and they were able to make the entire meal gluten-free for my partner who has celiac. Will absolutely come back!

I was skeptical at first, but Takay Miami was absolutely worth it. The menu perfectly balances classic omakase with Miami flair, offering creative dishes that feel different from everything else in the city. Great quality, excellent value, and finally something new worth going back to.
