Vegan soul food, now with room to breathe

Trio Plant-Based makes soul food with zero animal products, and it doesn't taste like a compromise. The kitchen built its following before the move, and the menu hasn't changed.

What's new is the setting: the East Court of Midtown Global Market, one of the most diverse food halls in the city, with a bigger kitchen behind the counter. Black owned, entirely plant based, worth the trip down Lake Street.

The food was pretty good but by it being black owed our first time there we wasn’t even greeted and he wasn’t paying us no attention we got more interaction with the white dude cooking behind the counter. The white guy was very friendly while I’m assuming the owner didn’t hardly even speck. I’m hoping next time I get to speck with the owner I love supporting black businesses especially men just hoping next time I have a better experience. Kitchen also wasn’t the cleanest idk maybe because the white guy was mainly doing all the work 🤷🏽‍♀️

First time in, will be back for sure! Ordered the Boolin Buffalo wrap with a side salad. Just what I wanted and the salad was so on point! Thanks for the service guys!

The food is AMAZINGGG!!!! I couldn’t even believe it was vegan!! They know how to make some GOOD FOOD! I really recommend the cauliflower wings, we got the spicy bbq sauce version and the ranch was PHENOMENAL - definitely should’ve gotten some extra!! I got the catfish sandwich/burger and I had never tried smth like that before, i was unsure about it when I first looked at it but I took a bite and it was DELICIOUS. And so fishy?! This place is a must try if you’re vegan/curious about plant based food. I wish I lived in the cities so I could have it everyday (I live in Winona and was just passing through 🥲). Heavenly meal and will come again!!!

This is a super cute space! I came here during the Midtown Art Festival, and I’m so glad I did. I ordered the yas and buffalo wings. Everything arrived fairly quickly and was absolutely delicious. They're a lot of fun, so a side can easily be shared. The service was great, and the food was phenomenal. I love how everything is plant-based!

This place is awesome! The food was insane, the owner and workers are super nice, and it’s inside the Midtown Global Market which in itself is really cool. I got one of the soul food plates and as a vegetarian this is literally the dream, everything was delicious
