Maíz de la Vida's tortilla workshop on Clarksville Pike became Fonda Fina in April 2026: twelve seats, a grab-and-go case, and the same nixtamalized corn that made the trucks famous. Open 11am to 4pm, so this is lunch or nothing.

North Nashville has very little like it. Get there before 1pm on a weekday or expect to eat standing up.

20/10 food experience! If you’re looking for one of the most authentic Mexico food experiences in Nashville, this little place is the where you need to be! The only place it gets more real than this is in Mexico itself. My goodness I wish I could rate this place 100 stars!!

From the moment we walked in, we were met with a warm and welcoming atmosphere by Daniel. The restaurant was spotless from top to bottom, not a crumb in sight. We were seated immediately without a reservation, which was impressive, and were even given the option to sit at the Chef’s Table. Our server, Tena, was phenomenal from the moment she approached the table. She was personable, attentive, and incredibly knowledgeable, answering all of our questions about appetizers, entrées, and dessert options with ease. She truly knew the menu inside and out. We also had the pleasure of meeting the manager, Nick, who came to our table personally. His passion for the restaurant and guest experience was evident the entire time we were there. The prices were very reasonable, and every staff member we encountered was professional, courteous, and well-mannered. This was an outstanding dining experience, and we will be sharing it every chance we get. Highly recommend!

Authentic Beef Birria, I had the tacos, burrito and quesadilla......all were fabulous. They have chicken also but with beef this good, who would try it, not me! Great place with friendly staff and again, amazing food. Stopped in for a try yesterday and had to stop back in today. Highly recommend, 10 of 10!!!

I didn't realize this is more of a taco pick up place. There are two chairs there and it's not really set up to eat in. That being said , the tacos were absolutely amazing. You could really taste the care and attention that's out into the food.
