Chinese-Cuban sandwiches until 3pm on Pine Street.

Chibanos opened on Pine Street in June 2026 selling Chinese-Cuban sandwiches at $16, filled with things like salt-and-pepper eggplant, Chinese sausage croquetas or roast pork.

It closes at 3pm and shuts entirely on Mondays and Tuesdays. There's an all-day breakfast menu inside those hours.

What an amazing new restaurant for Philadelphia! Wonderfully and thoughtfully decorated with photos from the owner’s family as well as Asian-Latinx art. The food is creative and combines well Chinese and Cuban flavors and traditions. The staff was incredibly friendly and thoughtful. Señora Fong’s family recipes were delicious. We also loved the chef’s pumpkin salad. The only mistake you can make is not ordering enough.

What a great new spot. These are some of the best sandwiches you can find in Philly. Worth going out of your way to try the chino

If you were in Philly for only a day THIS should be the place to go. The staff is warm, inviting, and really laid back! The owner greeted everyone and took time to chat and ask us how we liked the food (speaking of the food! Incredible! The flavors and combinations are UNREAL!) and the decor is so fun and well thought out everything about the space is so well designed to make you want to stay forever but don't hog a table too long there's a line out the door! (And it's worth the short wait!)

Cuban coffee and Chino breakfast sandwich were some of the best bites I've eaten anywhere in recent memory. Enjoyed meeting owner Evan who proudly shared stories of his grandparents who inspired the place. Love having them in the neighborhood and can't wait to go back!

This place is a gem in the neighborhood! I noticed the new opening on a walk and decided to check it out for lunch today. I came in not knowing anything about the food or story behind the restaurant and was so pleasantly surprised. The Chinese-Cuban sandwich combination is so unique - I had the chickibano and absolutely loved the flavors. The veggies and sauce were full of flavor, and the bread is perfect. The owner was the nicest and took the time to explain the family story that led to him opening this restaurant. I’m confident this place will be a success and can’t wait to come back again!
