The taproom Roosevelt Row waited a year for
Forget the delays. Formation Brewing's patio is now one of the better First Friday stops on 5th Street, and the rotating taps give regulars a reason to swing by mid-week too.
It's a proper taproom setup: house beer alongside a small food menu, in the same Roosevelt Row block that took way longer to open than anyone planned.

How does a “brewery” only have seven beers on tap? Beautiful restaurant but we had not been here before because there are so many other locally owned options. Bring on the great beers of Colorado or stay home. The beers we tried were good and staff were on point.

Wow! Amazing space, great staff, ambient setting, right in the heart of downtown Phoenix! Great upstairs space to host events for solid deals on packages. Thank you to manager Marc for the great guidance and specifics about event hosting in that area for entrepreneur gatherings and vendor pop-ups. I’m interested and will be reaching out soon to host! Also, great beers and NA drinks! Can’t say enough good things about this awesome new spot open less than 6 months! Bravo! 👏

Beer was great. Good selection of their own brews and those from other breweries. We loved the spruce tip from upslope and western winds from formation. We got the elote dip which was good but extremely smokey if you aren’t into that. The Brussel sprouts and duck fat fries were so delicious too! The atmosphere is really chill with plenty of places to sit and relax

Great beer! I strongly believe that although their double hazy ipa has more alcohol content, that it ends up drinking much juicier and smoother than their standard cloud hazy IPA. Price is reasonable, in line with others in the area. Guest WiFi was appreciated and the staff were genuinely kind. Would definitely recommend.

Cool new spot! There's plenty of outdoor space, indoor tables, and a neat conversation pit insane. I wish the tables outside were not the super uncomfortable wood picnic style tables, that was the main ding on the space. The food was actually quite good, we had the grilled chicken sandwich, the double cheeseburger, and the bison burger with duck fat fries and pretzel bites. The entrees were all really delicious and high quality, and the pretzel bites were delicious as well. The fries didn't give off duck fat taste which was disappointing for the extra price. Service was meh, it was hard to tell who worked there and we had to go ask for service after being seated for a while.
