Jimmy Terwilliger's New York-Italian pies, now permanent in PB
Pizza Cassette moved into 1459 Garnet Avenue in Pacific Beach in 2026 after a long run as a permanent pop-up at The Gärten. Jimmy Terwilliger's pizza is New York shape with Italian technique, and it makes no claim to Neapolitan authenticity.
That honesty is the point. San Diego has plenty of places chasing a Naples certificate; this one is chasing a good slice, and gets there. Go for a whole pie rather than by the slice.

Absolutely amazing! 1 pizza is perfect to split with 2 people but we got 2 to try and were not mad about it. We got the H to the Izzo (our favorite) & canned heat (tastes like yummy garlic cheese bread) & they were both phenomenal. Our server, Omari, was wonderful! He provided excellent service and recommendations. Vibes & music were great too. Great date night spot or casual group friend dinner. We will definitely be back to try the sandwiches and other pizzas because everything looked great!

Great addition to the neighborhood! Staff was so friendly. We got the chicken ceaser salad and the h to the ezzo pizza. Both were delicious. I can’t wait to go back and try their white pizzas and sandwiches!

Hands down the best pizza I have had in San Diego and easily in my top 10 nationwide! First off, super cool people, they care about the customer! As for the amazing pizza, to me its a Neapolitan Wood Fired Pizza with a New York / New Haven accent. I absolutely loved it and will be coming back! A must, especially if you appreciate carefully crafted pizza with top quality ingrediants. Thank you Omar!

This place is great. Pretty affordable for a sit down restaurant in this neighborhood. Food was GREAT. Service was also great. No notes. They also have good ranch and have a Detroit style option

This place is one of a kind from the Decor, to the open windows. This place has an east coast vibe. From Jonny one of the owners and Omari the bartender and Riley the Host. Customer service and hospitality is excellent. You can tell they Love what they do. The food is incredible and authentic. Not like a lot of the other shops in Pacific Beach. The pizza has a unique sauce with soft crisp crust is to die for. If I could give a 10/10 I would. Thanks for giving me and my family a great experience and genuine energy. Definitely coming back. Thanks you guys.
