Pizza and a rotating pop-up kitchen in Barrio Logan

Check who's guesting before you go, because the answer changes the meal. The house pizza holds its own either way.

Pizza Kaiju opened in December 2024 at 1985 National Avenue in Barrio Logan and quickly became one of the addresses other cooks borrow. Darius Hilario and Kelly Ouk's Cambodian-Filipino pop-up Ming Oun's Kitchen is a regular guest.

Pizza Kaiju was a true surprise! I went in with no expectations and they still blew any idea of what I’d expect out of the water! Inside it’s a chill industrial vibe like a brewery, and they have a great beer selection on tap! The food was such a delicious experience! (Ube cheese bread is my recommendation!) so many choices, whole pies and by the slice! Highly recommend this spot for a chill night out with great food!!

Super cool, chill spot that serves creative Asian influenced pizzas and snacks. Large, spacious dining areas with fun music/videos. Very friendly staff that even recognized my sister from a visit a few weeks prior. She said the Sisig Pizza was tasty! We got the Mentaiko Royale and the recommended WonTon Don. The Mentaiko Royale was messy but really delicious! Although the WonTon Don was highly recommended by the cashier(possibly the owner), it was a little too sweet for our liking. We asked for their housemade hot sauce and he generously brought out 2 large tubs and warned us that one was SUPER HOT! We felt like we were at a relative's house eating 🥰 Looking forward to visiting again! I want to try the Aporkalypse and the Spicy Sausage 😋 * I'm not a beer drinker but they are very knowledgeable and generous with their beer samples.

Absolute Fusion Perfection in Barrio Logan! If you haven't been to Pizza Kaiju in Barrio Logan yet, you are missing out on one of the most exciting flavor combinations in San Diego! The concept here is genius—creative Korean-style pizzas that totally work. The flavors are bold, unique, and absolutely delicious. It’s not just about the pizza, though; their pastas are equally impressive and packed with flavor. To top it off, they have a solid selection of beer and wine that pairs perfectly with the food. What really makes this place special is the vibe. You can tell it is family-owned and operated; the service is warm, welcoming, and attentive. They really care about your experience. Pro Tip: Go on a Saturday night! They have a DJ spinning, which adds such a cool energy to the room. Great food, great music, and amazing people. Highly recommend!

Came here during bridge the gap night (filipino night) and tried all the pop up menu! The sisig pizza and kare kare pizza were bomb, but our fave was the sisig loaded fried!!!! Clean plate overall! We then tried the desserts they have like the pandan cookie, and the calamansi cake with black sesame! Sooo sooo good, it would've went well with coffee or matcha but we were so full we couldn't try any of the cafe bevvies. We also loved the vendors! Got a napkin holder from casa makulay and there was a vendor there for that pop up night that had miniature food magnets! Thank you for hosting Pizza Kaiju! It's a great way to support local artist and the community. Keep it up!

Asian inspired pizza? Enough said! My wife found this place on Yelp and I definitely wanted to try it out, since I could eat pizza every day. This place is located in Bario Logan, next to the 5 freeway, close to a Mexican supermarket, and next to a barber shop. They just moved here from another location, so it still looks like some parts of the restaurant are still being renovated. They have beer, pizza by the slice, and pizza made to order. Their pizza comes in deep dish style or hand tossed. They take your order at the counter and then give you a number to take to your table. The decor is that of a chill living room and bar with a few sofas and small tables. The staff were very friendly. We asked for some garlic ranch sauce and that was a game changer! I highly recommend this. They have a lot of unique flavors as well as traditional ones. I love the pepperoni pan slice. It was crispy, savory, cheesy, and chewy. The sisig and mentaiko were excellent as well. Tons of flavor in each slice. At about $27 for a whole pizza, I'd definitely recommend this place, especially if you want something different from all the other pizza places in San Diego.
