Cui-daore

Sushi and sake in an industrial park up the 15
Cui-daore opened quietly in June 2025 at 8680 Miralani Drive in Miramar, in the same makers-district block as Protector Brewery. Rolls, small bites and a sake list, in a unit that looks like nothing from the parking lot.
The name means eating until you drop. Take it as a suggestion. This is the sushi you hit before or after a brewery crawl, and it's better than that sentence makes it sound.

The name Kuidaore (食い倒れ) already says a lot. You can tell the owner is serious about food culture. Anyone who knows the spirit behind probably cares deeply about making people happy through food :) We found this place while searching for materials for our new home renovation back in Feb. It’s a little hole-in-the-wall shop in Miramar, and everything about it is adorable, from the deck lantern decorations to the little details throughout the store (see the little paw 🐾 wasabi!) The staff were also incredibly nice and welcoming. As for the food, I honestly forgot the names of the dishes we ordered, but everything we had was delicious. The prices were also very reasonable, which we really appreciated. We’ll definitely come back next time we’re in the area:)

Solid poke bowls, but the sushi really stands out. Excellent quality fish in great portions that FAR exceed expectations given the price point. Strongly recommend the Salmon belly!

A fun find. Easy to park and find this location. Good vibes with Japanese pop playing. Really delicious miso soup. And the sushi was very fresh and delicious. We got the citrus hamachi, salmon avocado and spicy tuna role.

Our New Favorite Sushi Spot! Cui-Daoré is a delicious sushi restaurant that we can’t stop thinking about. The decor is simple yet immersive — Japanese posters and lanterns make you feel like you’ve been transported straight to Japan. The food was amazing. We ordered miso soup, a smashed cucumber salad, shrimp tempura, and four sushi rolls. Of the appetizers, the cucumber salad was the standout — the marinade was incredibly flavorful and had us wanting more. For sushi rolls, we tried the Sanji, Seadragon, Hachiko, and Miralani. Every roll was great, but the Hachiko was the clear favorite — absolutely delicious! Cui-Daoré is located in the Miralani Market District and is well worth a visit!

Some of the best, most unique and incentive sushi rolls I've ever had. The nigiri is also fantastic. The vibe is super cool, obviously evoking Japan but very reminiscient for me of when I lived in Taiwan. Service is great and the guys there are very friendly. It's also significantly better value than many of the high end more established sushi places in San Diego, despite the rolls in particular being better than the competition. Phenomenal spot, 10/10.
