Bateau and Boat Bar merged into one room, with a martini cart

When Renee Erickson closed Bateau and Boat Bar it was genuine news on Capitol Hill. In March 2026 the two came back as one restaurant, Jeffry's, on E Union St.

There is still a lot of dry-aged beef, plus shrimp cocktail, roast chicken and a rebuilt burger. The martini cart comes to the table, which is most of the fun.
