Milky pork bone soup on north Broadway

Busan Jeong opened in March 2026 up at the north end of Broadway, built around dwaeji gukbap, the Busan pork bone soup with a broth that comes out white and heavy.

Dumplings and kimchi fill out the table. It's a good solo dinner: one bowl, twenty minutes, done.

We had such a wonderful experience at Busan Jeong! The menu is simple and focused, with their specialty being pork bone soup, but honestly, sometimes simple is exactly what you need. The soup was flavorful, comforting, and perfect for the cooler fall weather coming to Seattle. What I loved most is that even though it’s a pork-based soup, it doesn’t feel heavy at all. It was not oily or greasy, and there wasn’t that layer of excess fat you sometimes get with pork bone soup. The broth was rich and satisfying without leaving you feeling overly full or weighed down after the meal. It felt like a comforting, wholesome meal that you could actually enjoy without feeling guilty afterward. Their homemade kimchi is one of the highlights of the meal 😍 The simplicity of the menu is part of the charm. They really focus on doing one thing well, and the pork bone soup is exactly the kind of dish I want when the weather starts getting chilly. Warm, flavorful, comforting, and incredibly satisfying. 🍲❤️ The atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, making it a great place for a casual meal with friends or family. The service was also friendly and attentive, which made the whole experience even better. If you’re looking for a warm and comforting meal as Seattle heads into fall, definitely give Busan Jeong a try. Their pork bone soup is flavorful without being greasy or too heavy, and it’s the perfect comfort food for a chilly day. 5 stars all around! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ We’ll definitely be coming back!

This is incredibly authentic. Better than most of gukbap places in Korea. I’m not a fan of pork gukbap in general but I craved this dish during my post-heat exhaustion recovery. The broth and kimchi were so authentic.. Kimchi literally tasted like the one you eat right after making it at home. Really warm, comforting, filling dishes. Dumpling was a lil plain and smelled a lil like pork. Wanna try other dishes too.

I arrived a little before service time and sat myself, as you do in Korea. The server arrived at the precise time and greeted me. I didn't need a menu as I was having the house specialty; pork and rice soup. I also decided to have some rice wine. I went to heaven as I tried the first bite. Beware! The broth is served boiling hot. I was immediately transported to Korea the minute the meal arrived. The pork was tender, the kimchi not so spicy, which I didn't mind. I got to talk to the cook and we shared stories of Busan as I lived there for a while. I would highly recommend you visit in a group and try the whole menu. It sure was super delicious. I'll be back soon and probably many times.

The food was extremely comforting. Felt like a hug. I ordered the clear pork bone soup with rice. It truly was special, delicate, yet tasty. You could really tell the amount of work behind making the broth that tenderizes the pork so well. It reminded me of how my mom and the rest of my family cook at home. This spot is a gem to those who appreciate food. Service was prompt. Just be there to enjoy and savor their dishes, as well as, their homemade mandu.

Busan Jeong was absolutely fantastic. We tried the pork soup with noodles and the pork soup with rice, and both were incredibly delicious, comforting, and full of flavor. The side dishes were all excellent, but the kimchi was the standout. Seriously wow! We also ordered the mandu, which was perfectly cooked and so tasty. The staff was friendly and welcoming, which made the experience even better. Everything felt fresh, authentic, and satisfying. Highly recommend!
