Nine kinds of bread on Aurora

Hello India opened on Aurora Ave N in March 2026. The dining room is bare and the curries are the point, along with pakoras and a bread list nine items long.

It has nothing to do with the Everett restaurant of the same name. Order more bread than you think you need.

Had a fantastic experience at Hello India! The food was delicious—flavorful and really well-balanced without being overly oily or heavily spiced. You can truly taste the quality. Excellent, attentive service as well. Huge props to the owner, Mr. Dilraj, and his wife—they are doing a fabulous job running this place! Highly recommend!

I’ve been searching for good North Indian food in the Seattle area, and I’m thrilled to have found this gem. This place serves great home-style North Indian food with generous portions. The curries are very flavorful flavor, and the dishes we tried were: methi matar paneer, egg curry, tandoori roti, and papdi chaat, were all incredibly fresh and satisfying. I left feeling light and content after my meal.

Excellent homestyle Indian food in a casual setting. The dishes are generously portioned given the price - we ordered 2 entrees and 2 appetizers, and had most of the entrees packed to take home. The curries themselves are rich in flavor, yet don't have the heaviness from the added cream that is so common in most Indian restaurants in the US. The starter we ordered was an Indo-Chinese dish called 'Gobhi Manchurian' - this dish typically uses ready made hot sauces in the preparation which can cause stomach irritation to people sensitive to it (like my wife) but this place didn't use any store style hot sauces - they seemed to have used in house ingredients for all their dishes. Finally, the tandoori roti (a form of indian bread) that my wife got is probably the best Indian bread I have had in the US - thin, not dry and with a little drizzle of butter served fresh and hot directly from the stove - chef's kiss! I hope they continue to keep the standards as high as they currently have. Best north Indian food in Seattle. If you can get over the location, you should definitely come here - we'll be coming back for sure.

The Pani Puri's were very cute - pour the sauce in & eat! Rest of the food was pretty good but yeah the street food menu is a little unique among Indian places. Glad to have a new restaurant in the neighborhood!

5-Star Review for Hello India Seattle on Aurora I recently visited Hello India on Aurora Ave N and had one of the most satisfying Indian meals I’ve had in Seattle in a while. This spot is a hidden gem for authentic flavors without any pretentiousness—just solid, home-style cooking in a casual setting. The methi matter paneer was hands-down the best I’ve ever tasted. The perfect balance of earthy fenugreek, sweet peas, and creamy paneer in a rich, spiced gravy had me going back for seconds. It was flavorful, aromatic, and cooked to perfection. Paired with their masala chai, which was bold, perfectly spiced, and so comforting—it felt like a warm hug in a cup. I could drink that stuff all day. The chaat was fresh and full of great textures—crispy, tangy, and addictive. My only minor note is that the Amritsari kulcha could use a bit of improvement (maybe a touch more seasoning or flakiness), but everything else more than made up for it. The staff was friendly and attentive, making for a good chat while we waited for our food. Service was quick, and the portions were generous. If you’re craving real Indian comfort food in the Northgate area, definitely stop by Hello India. I’ll be back soon—highly recommend the methi matter paneer and chai combo!
