Refined cocktails where TC Choy's used to be

Howard & Platt took over the long-vacant TC Choy's building on South Howard and rebuilt it into a polished restaurant and cocktail bar. It's the newest move from Disser Hospitality, the group behind Palmette Brasserie at the Westin.

The name comes straight from its corner, South Howard Avenue and West Platt Street, a small nod to the strip it's betting on. Locals watched the space sit empty for years before this opening.

Great spot! We went for brunch and had a little bit of everything. The crunchy tuna roll and donuts were a good time. Our server Heather was incredibly attentive. We will be back.

New place looks great. Went for brunch. Got the french toast and the biscuits with gravy. Both were tasty, price points were reasonable for the type of restaurant, location etc. Food came out quickly and was tasty.

I had the chance to visit this brand-new restaurant in South Tampa during its first week, and I was genuinely impressed. You would never know they had just opened—the entire operation ran like a well-oiled machine with no signs of the typical opening-week jitters. The menu offers a great variety of options, making it easy for everyone to find something they’ll enjoy. I ordered the black miso cod, and it was absolutely outstanding—perfectly cooked, flavorful, and one of the best fish dishes I’ve had in a long time. My friend ordered the salmon and couldn’t stop talking about how amazing it was as well. The service was equally impressive. Everyone was warm, friendly, and attentive throughout the meal, making us feel welcome from the moment we walked in. The restaurant itself is beautifully designed with a sleek, modern build-out that creates a stylish yet comfortable atmosphere. It’s clear a lot of thought went into every detail. This is an incredible addition to South Tampa’s dining scene. I highly recommend giving it a try, and I’ll definitely be back to explore more of the menu!
