Chef-driven Mexican fine dining with 175 tequilas on Bayshore

Nearly 175 tequilas and mezcals fill the list at this speakeasy-dark room in the old Ciro's space on Bayshore Boulevard. Chef Felicia Lacalle built the bar around her Mexican heritage, not beach-bar cliches, and the food gets equal billing.

The seasonal menu runs on her own recipes rather than a supporting act to the drinks list. Hyde Park North finally has a fine dining match for the boutiques lining the same stretch of Bayshore.

This was such a nice dining experience from the moment we walked in. The lighting is perfect and service was 10/10. I will say their take on the espresso martini may be the best I've ever had! Would certainly come back.

Sorry but I was quite disappointed with the food. Had high expectations but the taste just dint hit right. Either too burnt or salty or bland for my taste. The service and atmosphere however is very good.

The Chicharron Tacos were the best bite of food I have ever experienced in my life. I am a big foodie and it was 100/10 ☺️ The service was great, and all the other entree's we had were 10/10 as well, but those tacos were something to remember!

Quiote is a hidden gem!! I stopped there last night with a friend and we ended up staying for hours! The staff is knowledgeable, professional and personable. Top notch service and the tequila selections were incredible. I could just describe a cocktail and they would make it on the fly - that’s art!! This place will be a staple for me!

This is not your typical Mexican restaurant. This a creative expression of authentic mexican dishes set inside a beautfully appointed and cozy dining room. Our server, Kaitlin, had us feeling welcomed from the moment we were seated. There is an icredible list of teauila and possibly the most thorough list of mezcaI that I have come across. The lamb birria tacos were amazing. A must have. I will not say much more. The photos speak for themselves. I highly recommend and will be back for the snapper.
