Skip the birria queue. La Central Tacos is doing something different on North Florida Avenue, grilling Tijuana-style tacos and fajitas over open flame for smoke and char instead of broth and cheese.
It landed in Seminole Heights fast enough to build a following, on the same stretch as Con Amor and J's Asian Kitchen. Open for lunch and dinner Tuesday through Sunday.

Amazing food and even better service! Had the most wonderful server today, I believe her name was Mika. Very friendly and attentive. Had the Loaded Carne Asada fries big portion and very good, also had the cali burrito amazing! The Aguas Frescas was so fresh and not too sweet. I will definitely be back.

The skirt steak taco is the best in Tampa. The quality of the beef is obvious as soon as you bite into it. The service is always extremely friendly. The only complaint is how long food takes. Hopefully this will get addressed and corrected as the cooks get more used to things and the newness wears off.

At the risk of y’all blowing up my spot, Probably the best taco joint you’re going to find in Tampa. House made sauces, quality food and next level flavor. Top notch birria tacos-best I’ve had. Please start selling the pineapple habanero sauce!

First time trying this restaurant and it was delicious! We tried a variety of the tacos and the trio dip and it was all very tasty ! My bowl was the steak bowl and it was very filling and I had plenty of leftovers. The drinks were also so tasty, their horchata was bomb!
