Records and wine on K Street NW
La Betty opened on K Street in Mount Vernon Triangle in April 2025 as a listening room first and a wine bar second. Albums get played properly, which means the volume sits where conversation is possible but not effortless.
DC picked up a run of listening bars through 2025 and 2026. This was one of the first, and it is still the least self-conscious of them.

The experience is a bit odd. You can only sit down if you first wait in line at the counter and ask to be seated. Which is fine, but not explained very well. Service isn’t very fast nor are they very helpful. I ordered the sweet potato sandwich and it was actually very good. The matcha was a bit of a disappointment and the up-charged $1 for almond milk instead of regular milk without letting me know. We visited on a late Sunday morning around 11:30am and it was very loud. Although it looks like a intimate and cozy space it feels a bit less so with the amount of noise.

One of my new favorite bars in DC, great music, amazing vibe to chat and hang out, great selection of wine. It’s hard to come by good orange wine in the states but they have a nice range. Really nice staff and again, the music was so good and totally set and amazing atmosphere.

La Betty is a really cool vinyl wine bar that has all the vibes. Wine isn't usually my go to, but I really loved the space and the overall ambiance. It's got plenty of character and feels like a great spot to hang out with friends or for a nightcap. When you walk in someone will help you find a seat and once you you're ready to order, you head up to he bar to order drinks or food. Although wine isn't my main thing, they do offer a small and limited selection of alcoholic options just no cocktails. I loved the music and the dim, chill laid back decor really complimented the overall feel. It's definitely a spot I'd come back to especially to try out some of the food. Really dope spot.

lowkey and fun spot with immaculate vibes, great djs and love the vinyl spinning. if you like quality, comfort, and good service, then look no further. Maxwell, the bartender, is an absolute legend

The banana bread was so good! I highly recommend it, and the matcha was alright. The service was slow, however the space is really nice to admire so I didn’t mind.
