Bulgarian classics, rebuilt plate by plate

Kachamak and pork with cabbage sound like your grandmother's table, until chef Atanas Balkanski's version lands. This is the second act from the team behind Panchetata, and the room off Vitosha Boulevard is loud in the best way.

The wine list runs past 80 labels, weighted toward Bulgarian grapes. Portions are generous, and the banoffee tart gets ordered on principle, not dessert-menu duty.

We only had appetizers and a bottle of wine. But this place had such a classy vibe, and still very welcoming. You guys know I travel a bit. So when a place is well balanced on food, service and atmosphere, I check in. Highly recommended for a dinner spot. Didn’t do another time, but pretty sure they’re consistent through the day. Tuna tartar and blueberry craquelin, really good on the palate.

Had great duck and seafood stew with amazing desserts. Eric was our server. He was wonderful. He took the time to explain the various ingredients in the food. Facility is right off the main street. Beautiful atmosphere. A definite place to dine.

What a fabulous restaurant. The service was excellent. We were immediately greeted and seated upon arriving. And the top notch service continued. The food was amazingly delicious and so well presented. The atmosphere is cool modern with a touch of retro with the partially brick exposed walls, the cork accents, and the vegetation. Highly recommend.

If you're looking for high-quality food, this is the right place. The pasta was absolutely delicious, but the real star was the "kachamak"—it was the best appetizer I've ever tasted. Highly recommended!

Very impressed with the quality of professionalism. I have food allergies and member of stuff specifically came to discuss the menu and what the can do to accommodate my needs. The service was fantastic and the food was more than expected. Good portions and very delicious. The environment is really beautiful and chill with a lovely background music that doesn’t disturb but adds a lovely touch. Thank you! I will be back
