Kim Stark reopened Lostlands on Connaught Drive a month after the 2024 wildfire. She also runs Bear's Paw Bakery and Ursidae Lair. The menu runs fresh-pressed juices, smoothies, panini, and a full espresso bar. Stark described the reopening simply as getting back home.

Being open again within weeks of the fire made it one of the earlier signs downtown was coming back to life, before several of its neighbours had even confirmed whether they would rebuild.
