Pastries by morning, eggs by noon on Queen Street

The bakery case does its job early, then the kitchen switches to a short lunch menu of eggs and sandwiches by midday. Grab one of the few outdoor seats on Queen Street, a quiet corner on Sheung Wan's western edge.

This stretch sits away from the antique dealers on Hollywood Road and the dried seafood shops near the harbour, in a mostly residential part of Sheung Wan. Mason Pocket reads like a daily coffee-and-pastry stop for people who live nearby, not a destination brunch spot pulling crowds from across the island.

They have a lovely selection of pastries and a really cosy atmosphere. This place has easily become our weekly to go to spot ❤️

A fantastic, spacious spot located conveniently between the Sai Ying Pun and Sheung Wan MTR stations. Mason Pocket has an enormous layout with plenty of room both indoors and outdoors, featuring a really beautiful design with standout tile work. It’s perfect for anyone—whether you’re meeting friends, bringing family, or just looking for a calm place to work or sketch. The almond croissant and cinnamon rolls are delicious and fresh, pairing perfectly with their coffee (imo it’s average). They are famous for their egg and pistachio tarts, though they come out of the oven a little later in the morning, so keep that in mind if you have your heart set on those! Highly recommend stopping by for a refreshing brunch before exploring the area.

Very spacious cafe with decent food. The window side benches we sat were a little uncomfortable but do-able. Pastry were above average, wish they could serve it hot. Coffee was weak, need to get an extra shot. French toast was best.

Didn’t try the pastries but can say that the french toast was AMAZING and the oat matcha latte was also one of the better matcha lattes I’ve had out there. Super spacious, bright and chill as well! Service was friendly. Great for reading a book or just hang out.
