Souffle waffles, Seoul style, on Gough Street

The waffles here are lighter than anything Belgian, whipped into a souffle batter and baked until it barely holds its shape, then piled with a rotating cast of creams and fruit. Grab one at the standing counter, snap the photo, eat it before it collapses.

Gough Street has been Hong Kong's testing ground for food trends for years, and this one traveled from Seoul, where souffle waffles have been big since the late 2010s. Even the name OOOO is a design choice, meant to mimic the air pockets inside the batter.

Oooo Waffle is a must-visit! Their savory waffle paired with the night market pepper salt fried chicken is incredible. The chicken is perfectly seasoned, and the waffle matches it beautifully.

Fried chicken basil waffle was delicious, Rose and lychee tea was good as well. Cold teas come with a lid holder so it can be re-used! Savoury portions are large so suggest sharing between two people or more. Whereas sweet waffle comes in half/full sizes :)

Love their waffles ! 夜市鹽酥雞 is a must try ! and actually the other two savory waffles - crispy pork belly and smoked ham are really good too The white fox milk tea also a must try! I like it even if it’s unsweetened ! Cannot wait to go back and have the savory waffles Again !! and also to try more of their sweet ones! The have a secret menu sweet waffle that you can DIY and got mochi inside yum yum 😋 The O waffles is also a good size for kids to devour alone .

Night market fried chicken waffle 夜市鹽酥雞格格 is such a genius idea! One bite-size chicken pop, one bite-size waffle CUBE, topped with the addictive sauce. Perfect snack on-the-go for strolling around the area~

the 鹽酥雞 one is definitely the MVP!!! i have visited a few times for it since the opening as i keep craving for it!! soooooooo gooooood (i want to have it again now just by looking at the photo 🤤🤤🤤) the oolong tea is very soothing with a lingering taste that also helps cleanse the palate. and it comes in a handy bottle. i also like the interior design a lot especially the hanging light of the jumping fox through the wormholes. cute!!
