Meat and vegetables given equal billing, in the old Gram space since July 2025

Mazel opened in July 2025 in the Záhřebská room that used to be Gram. The name is a contraction of MAso and ZELenina, meat and vegetables, and the split is the entire point: the vegetable dishes are developed with the same care as the steaks rather than parked at the bottom of the menu.

Most of it comes off the fire. More than a thousand plants fill the room, which sounds like a decorating gimmick until you are sitting in it. The kitchen opens at eight for breakfast and runs through to ten at night.

Fantastic restaurant with an amazing menu for meat lovers and vegetatians a like. Great wine selection and super friendly staff make this one of the most enjoyable dining experiences in Prague. Just something for everyone. If you want to splurge and go all out you can, if you want to just have a simple tasty one course mean you will enjoy.

I want to give this place 5, but the experience is so inconsistent that it's impossible for me to do so. First visit, with my brother, was one of the best dining experiences I've had. The sommelier was class, we had delicious Riesling, the food was exceptional and the staff were friendly and fast. The mushroom starter remains one of the best starters I've ever had, and the desserts were also standout. My second visit with a group of friends was unfortunately very underwhelming. I was pointed to a table after arriving and left for almost 30m. The service was extremely slow despite the restaurant being not particularly busy. There was no real effort, and all of my friends were quite surprised as to why I'd been so excited about eating there. I felt a bit embarrassed that I'd recommended the restaurant for them all to be left slightly disappointed. The food is great, the interior is beautiful, and the staff can be amazing, but if you can't deliver a consistent experience and make your guests feel valued you won't compete at this level imo. Update: thanks for the response, and I think 3 was harsh so I placed 4. You still have incredible food I think I just caught a bad night. I'll definitely be back in the future

The interior caught my attention initially. I was told all plants are real. The food was very nice. I love the grill portobello, full of flavour! The grill pork rip is also nice, but it feels a bit heavy at the end. Would definitely come again if I ever visited Prague again.

We were there for lunch and really enjoyed the food, especially the portobello schnitzel with mash and also the kulajda soup. The presentation and flavours were great. The service was very kind and the interior seemed a bit fancy, the lush plants are a nice element however.

We had a great dinner date here. The place is very nice and the service was attentive, but a little unorganized at times. We enjoyed the tartar very much, the ceviche was Ok but not a highlight. Both main dishes, the steak and the pork were delicious and also the ginger dessert.
