A Paris-style bouillon bistro on Aarhus Ø, three courses around 200 kroner
Petit Prix opened on Aarhus Ø in January 2025, borrowing its format from the bouillon restaurants of Paris: classic French dishes served fast and priced low instead of saved for special occasions. Beef tartare, moules frites and confit duck all sit on a menu built to turn tables quickly without rushing anyone.
A three-course menu runs about 207 kroner, cheap for this stretch of harbourfront. The room stays loud and informal rather than hushed. It's become one of the talked-about openings on the Ø, mostly because it undercuts its neighbours on price without cutting corners on the food.

Edit after second visit: Jul 2026: We came back! We arrived kind of late and basically ordered next to everything that was on the menu. We loved the mains. Staff was delightful and friendly, portions were really good. We particularly loved the caesar salad and the pork belly. May 2026: The food was very good, the tatar was delicious even (Moules frites, Oksetatar). Portions were not huge. Service was nice, we waited quite a while for our food. The restaurant was really busy. It is nicely decorated, but tables are placed really closed to one another- probably cozy in winter. A bit stuffy in warmer temperatures.

Everything was excellent - food, service, atmosphere. One of the best places we have visited, highly reccommended

A mixed experience at Petit Prix, some plates were spot on while others felt completely off. The staff was sweet but the service had long waits between dishes. The beef with fries was excellent and genuinely great value. The rest was inconsistent. The “green beans” side was served spicy "asian-style" with ginger and chili, which felt completely out of place at a French restaurant and wasn’t mentioned on the menu. The crème brûlée barely had any custard and a thick, overly sweet crust. The lemonade was also too sweet.
