A twelve-course thali platter anchors this modern Indian spot from Madklubben

Thali opened in spring 2025 as Madklubben's entry into modern Indian cooking, first on Åboulevarden and now on Jægergårdsgade. The signature dish is the thali itself, a single platter with around twelve small courses for roughly 150 kroner, enough for a table to sample most of the menu in one order.

The cooking blends South Asian flavor with European technique rather than sticking to one regional Indian tradition. That fits how Madklubben runs things: separate concepts under one roof, not a single house style across all its restaurants.

The food in Thali tastes amazing!! There are burst of flavors in every dish. My personal favorite is the malai paneer. I would love to visit and dine again 🫶

Lovely staff, nice atmosphere and the food was tasty. Portions could seem small when coming to the table, but you get very full. We were 4 and there was plenty to eat. Some of our favorites were the juicy butter chicken, malai paneer curry and the fresh mint, yoghurt dip. The garlic naan was fragrant and not overly greasy 🙏🏼 One comment regarding the dal: there was a very overwhelming taste of a certain spice in it.. cloves maybe? It ruined the dish for us and almost made it a little bitter. Some space for improvement there 👌🏼

Thali restaurant in Aarhus, good Indian Restaurant. Staff were super good. I ordered thali which was good to have complete combo. Just one suggestion to improve taste as per INDIAN dishes.

The thali alone is enough food to fill you up, but the crispy chicken was too delicious to skip as an add on.
