Cheap Zona Colonial rooms with a pool on the roof

The budget clearly went upstairs, where a terrace and pool look across the Ciudad Colonial rooftops. Downstairs the rooms stay small and unfussy: air conditioning, hot water, a small fridge and fast wifi.

RIG opened the property in 2024, in an old house on Calle Espaillat the group says once housed Puerto Rican educator Eugenio María de Hostos. It runs alongside RIG Casa Conde and RIG Puerto Malecón, priced under the Billini and Casas del XVI end of the neighborhood.

Good to know

The rooftop pool opens at 10am and runs to 9pm.
Calle El Conde is a three-minute walk and the Malecón about two.

The room was very basic, the WiFi wasn't working. The rooftop is cool. At the end, it's an acceptable option for the price

It's a boutique hotel with very tiny pool on the roof. The room nice & clean. The big minus for this hotel it's the internet connection it's very low Wi-Fi. Usually tourist needs wi-fi and when you're going for vacation and you don't have normal basic Wi-Fi it can spoil all your vacation.

We’ve booked for 2 nights. Maikel attended us sins day one with reservations and receiving us. Very professional and friendly. Hotel is small not crowded very good location. We stayed in room 204 and was cozy clean and nice. The WiFi can be a lil more faster. Amazing view from the Terraza, to bad the pool was out of service. The breakfast was not bad but can be better.

I truly enjoyed my 2 night stay here. The room and appearance of the hotel was immaculate. Nanci, the cook, prepares a delicious breakfast that's worth getting up for. The staff was super friendly and helpful in helping me find what I needed in the Zona Colonial. I will definitely stay here again.

This is a great place to stay while visiting Santo Domingo. It is located in the Zona Colonial which is where tourist tend to go to the most. It is super close to food shops as well; most of the stuff is walking distance. The staff is so kind and helpful. Truly an amazing experience in this hotel. Will definitely be back!
