Last month we were in the Capital for a Birthday Party. 9 June 2026. Not knowing much about the Capital, I started researching hotels about a month in advance. This hotel was the weather based on reviews and photos. We decided we wanted to stay in a particular room type. I started scouring third party booking sites , but each time I tried the room was sold out. After exhausting all the third party sites , I decided to call the hotel. They also informed me there was no availability for the room type we wanted fot the night we needed. A week before our trip to the capital, I decided to try one more time with the booking , and then we would call it and have to choose another place to stay. Lo and behold the booking went through for the room we wanted for the night we needed and we had confirmation. Fast forward we get to the hotel, we are greeted by parking staff and door people. We're offered complimentary cold beverages of our choice. Everything is going terrific so far😊 Then I get to the front desk and I'm informed that a mistake had been made on my part. I booked the right day , but the wrong month🤣 We're at the hotel now so I don't have a clue what now🤔 There were 3 people on the desk at that time and all assured me not to worry that they would figure this out. The reservation I made on the third party site was a nonreferable reservation.Not only did the staff assist me in canceling that reservation without any penalties, the room I wanted had come available and they were going to honor the same price as the third party site. The exceptional staff went far and beyond for us. Hats all to everyone at the hotel. Room was amazing with a fantastic view. Breakfast in the morning up on the rooftop fabulous. Endless food choices and the musical playlist , amazing. Whenever i'm back in the Capital, and I need accommodations, there won't even be a question where I will stay. Again , we thank everybody at the hotel for your kindness and your assistance.

Beautiful ocean views, a great location, nice pool, and convenient parking. The front desk staff were professional, friendly, helpful, and welcoming. We experienced a few housekeeping issues with our first two rooms, but the staff promptly moved us, and the third room was clean and fully stocked. Overall, we appreciated their efforts and hope consistency continues to improve.

The Hotel is new and still is in it starting phase. Rooms are very nice and spacious but not fully equipped. Staff is very gracious. People like Andrea in the 13th floor and everyone in the reception desk have been very kind. Location is fine but you need to Uber for almost everything (food, markets and sightseeing). Owners need to hurry up and make everything work!. Thanks again to the Mauad staff

Out stay at Mauad Hotel was absolutely wonderful from beginning to end. The location is perfect, making it easy to explore the city while still enjoying a comfortable and relaxing stay. The rooms were clean and comfortable. What truly made this experience exceptional was the outstanding staff. Kleyber, Adriana, Aida Baez, and Carmen provided the most impeccable service. They were warm, attentive, professional, and always willing to go above and beyond to make sure every detail was perfect. Their genuine hospitality made the experience unlike any other. I highly recommend Mauad Hotel to anyone visiting Santo Domingo. The combination of an excellent location, comfortable accommodations, and extraordinary customer service made this a five-star experience. Highly recommended!!!

Bathroom does not have counters- just a sink, a humongous shower, so plenty space for a functional sink. A toilet😆. Too much noise when the disco is open- people walks back and forth around the areas where the rooms are located; noise from the malecón also impact a good rest. The windows does not have blackouts curtain; it does have curtains but not rhe one that fits hotel room needs. I have to say that beds and closets are appropriate.A small desk, OK, not the best; fridge too small; no coffee maker- Having some kind of noise blocker for windows and doors may improve the wellness of the guests.
