Italian pastry meets French tradition in the Carré d'Or, courtesy of a Meilleur Ouvrier de France

Bonjour Amour opened on rue du Maréchal Joffre in September 2025, right in the middle of the Carré d'Or. Riccardo Buricchi and Paul Occhipinti, a Meilleur Ouvrier de France titleholder, run the ovens here, and the case shows it: maritozzo and croissants sit side by side, Italian and French baking given equal billing.

The coffee gets the same attention as the pastry, pulled on a La Marzocco machine with beans shipped in from Florence and poured by a dedicated barista. A coffee and pastry costs 10 to 12 euros, a fair price in a neighborhood better known for luxury boutiques than breakfast.
