A cellar in the Palace Quarter built for tasting through Hungary
Tasting Table runs from a vaulted cellar on Bródy Sándor utca, in the Palace Quarter behind the National Museum, and exists mainly to walk people through Hungarian wine regions in one sitting. Tastings are structured rather than free-pour.
The shop side sells the bottles you tasted, which is the point: most of these producers are small enough that finding them again outside Hungary is difficult.

- Structured tastings run to a schedule. Book ahead rather than dropping in.

We did a 5 wine tasting, and all of the wines were great. The cheeses and meats were great too.

Really interesting wine, cheese and meat tasting in a nice setting. It was a good range of Hungarian wines, paired with tasty cheese and meats. Options to buy wines at reasonable prices.

Had a fabulous wine tasting experience. This is my second time here; I brought my friends who I was traveling with this November. All the wines were excellent as well as the charcuterie and cheeses. The tasting staff was very knowledgeable. I enjoyed the thorough descriptions. I would highly recommend going! 🍷

Must do! Great opportunity to try a flight of 3 Hungarian wines, under the guidance of our exceptional sommelier. We started with a frizzante, as good as some of the best champers. Follwed by a white for me (verde), a red (pino-g) and finished off with an Aszu Tokaji (less sweet than trad T) is fab. Loved all the information received and all of our questions were answered with consideration. Great experience. BTW we did our tasting in the shop- small and intimate; a larger group setting is available across the street if you wish.

Went to a tasting last Monday which was brilliant so went across the road to the shop afterwards to try some more and the person working in the shop (John?) was really helpful and knowledgeable. We then went again to the shop before flying home and met Tamaś whose knowledge and passion has made us want to return to go to the chefs table! Both the tasting and the shop are well worth visiting.
