Nothing else on Cross Street Upper opens this early. Branch & Caffè pulls its first shots at 7am, right in the thick of Galway's Latin Quarter, and that head start is exactly why locals hit it first.
Weekdays it's the earliest door on the street. Sundays it eases in at 10am and shuts at 5pm.

The coffee and pastries were high-quality and delicious. Prices are fair (especially for the region). Service was quick and the gal working the counter is the absolute sweetest! Relaxing atmosphere with music at a satisfying low. Clean and comfortable. A great pit-stop whilst navigating Galway!

Food, service, and coffee were all excellent. Staff was very friendly! Docking a point for the massive amounts of AI “art” strewn about the shop. To the owner: please just find prints on Etsy or Pinterest and get them printed. The image of the “coffee lady” is especially egregious. Again everything else about our experience was great.

Coffee is nice and the staff are even nicer ❤️ really lovely small coffee shop, I go here a lot as I work nearby. Coffee is delicious and not pricey!

A beautiful new coffee spot right in the heart of Galway ☕ I stopped by this lovely local café in the city centre and honestly had such a great experience. The atmosphere is calm, cosy and welcoming the kind of place where you can slow down for a moment and properly enjoy your coffee. Great selection of sandwiches, pastries, sweets and really good coffee. Everything felt fresh and made with care. I was also very well looked after by Flory, who was incredibly friendly and welcoming. Service like that always makes a place even more special. It’s always nice to support local places, meet local people and discover new spots around Galway and this one is definitely worth visiting. 📍 Right in the heart of Galway City Centre 🕒 Opening hours: Monday–Saturday: 7:30am – 5:30pm Sunday: 9:00am – 5:00pm Perfect little spot for a coffee break, a relaxed chat or just watching Galway life go by ☘️

Stopped in for breakfast. Was promptly acknowledged by super friendly staff. The whirr of the oven let me know that hit food was available. Had the ham and cheese. I was not disappointed. Flakey, tasty, soft, and delicious.
