Specialty coffee across from the university

Skip 1pm if you want a table. This coffee shop took over the old Ward's store on University Road, right across from the southern entrance to the university, and students pack it between lectures.

Coffee is the main event, with pastries and toasties for anyone who needs food. Mid-morning is your quiet window, and the cathedral is a short walk away after.

Coffee is excellent, customer service is ten out of ten, warm welcome , fast and efficient service , highly recommend, maybe a tipping function on the till for cashless customers might be an idea , tried to tip earlier and couldn’t as I’d no cash on me

It’s a nice, bright coffee shop, but unless you want to sit outside, there are only four seats inside conducive to a long visit. Otherwise you’re sitting on bar stools which are, admittedly, still very comfortable. The staff seem friendly; service is fine. I ordered my coffee, and I was gobsmacked when it was presented in a disposable cup. Nonetheless, I sat at the bar on the aforementioned comfortable stool, and drank my coffee. The coffee itself issued a nice aroma; the taste was somewhat neutral, with no discernible notes or flavours. This is due to the disposable cup in which it was provided. The cup really nullified any promise that the coffee might have had. I would love to come back and try it again should they start to use proper cups.

Very nice and cozy cafe! The staff is very friendly and the coffee is lovely! I’d love if there were normal cups too instead of only paper cups, but everything else is perfect.

Very nice and cozy cafe, we got the oats bowl, iced matcha, small cappuccino, and a croissant and everything was delicious! The stuff is very friendly, I definitely recommend!

Coffee was good, serviced in paper cups though. Panini was nothing special. Wet at the bottom. Carrot cake very dry. The place has a stylish design. They can do better with food.
