A country pub lands right on Eyre Square

Pints from 9.30am on Eyre Square. Screene's plays it straight: no gimmicks, just a proper Irish pub in one of Galway's best known corner sites.

Lunch runs weekdays, noon to 4pm. The toilets are still up on the top floor, an old quirk of the building the regulars will happily point you to.

Excellent food. We had a really good steak and a Seafood pie, served by really helpful and friendly girls. We liked the setting as well~ pub feel but clean and open an accident feel dark and crowded. Prices are reasonable too. Highly recommend.

Best roast beef dinner. The meat was so tender, service amazing. We just walked in and were so surprised how amazing this place is. Def worth a visit.

The slow cooked roast beef was by far the best ive had out somewhere. Nice size portions, good variety on the menu. The food came down piping hot. Our waitress was really friendly and great playlist on in the background 🙌 definitely recommend for some lunch 🥰

Came today and had the Rib Eye steaks. Mine cooked 100 percent perfect.I was having medium. other one at well done was more on medium side. Tasty. Service was excellent today. Not rushed and yet well catered for. Asked on few occasions if everything was ok and if anything was needed -Service as it should be.

My family and I went here for dinner to celebrate my mums birthday. Everything was absolutely perfect! We got a 3 course meal and everything was cooked and prepared to perfection! There is a wonderful selection on the menu and a great atmosphere. All the staff were very attentive and friendly. I would highly recommend and can't wait to return!
