A cocktail bar built into an old mechanical workshop on Via Ostiense.

Nucleo opened on March 1, 2026, in a space that used to fix engines, not pour drinks. Five people run it: Livio Morena, Davide Diaferia, Daniele Gentili, Andrea Fofi and Nausica Vitali, most of whom cut their teeth at other Rome bars before going in on this one together.

The menu holds twelve drinks, split between signature cocktails and classics you don't see often, priced between 8 and 12 euros. There's no reservation system. The owners built it that way on purpose: walk in or don't come.

Good to know

• Expect to wait on Friday and Saturday nights since they do not take reservations.
• Order the house signature cocktail, which usually costs 10 euros.
• Show up before 9:00 PM if you want to grab a seat at the bar counter.
