Coffee, matcha and breakfast at the university end of the street

Coffee and matcha are the two things Café Momo is set up to do properly, with breakfast served long enough into the morning to suit the timetable of the people around it. It sits at the far end of the Oude Kijk in 't Jatstraat, where the shops give way to faculty buildings and student houses.

The street already carries a bookshop, a games shop and a second hand market. Momo gives it the one thing it was missing: somewhere to sit down between two of them. Small, plain, busy from the first lecture break onwards.

Nice place. Great coffee. No muffins or scones. One bad thing: they don’t put a “no smoking” sign outside like other cafe’s and people can’t sit outside without breathing disgusting smoke

Such a lovely café in Groningen! Café Momo has a really warm and cozy atmosphere, friendly staff, and everything we tried was delicious. It’s a great spot to relax, have coffee, and enjoy something tasty. The service was welcoming and attentive, which made the experience even better. Definitely a place I’d happily visit again and recommend to others!

The coffee is really really good, the space is really beautiful, but it's impossible to sit inside with the bad acoustics. The service is also quite slow, but understandable for a new place.

We felt so welcome here! The food tastes amazing and even though I‘am not the biggest matcha lover the matcha here is the best I’ve ever had! Huge recommendation! I would go back to Groningen just to go back here!
