Alex Klinge and Dannia Palacín's sharing menu made for the middle of the table
Charred beetroot with harissa and hummus, scooped up with naan. That's the dish every table at Oculto orders, and it's reason enough to go. The short menu is built for sharing: fermented cabbage over creamy polenta, alpaca loin tartare with rocoto alioli and potato chips.
Alex Klinge and his wife Dannia Palacín run the place on Calle Ruinas. Klinge also runs Local 525 up on the Cuesta de San Blas.

Oculto was a great and more on the casual side dining experience. The food is excellent, we had some amazing Alpaca tartar and tahini trout ceviche. The chocolate mousse was incredible.

Oculto is one of those gems on a busy street that is can be easy to miss because they don't have a huge banner in front of their restaurant. Very tasteful and minimal signage on the outside hides some truly talented chefs, intentional wine selection, and curated art throughout the interior. In the menu, you will find many unique ingredients that are locally sourced, and elevated to highlight their distinct flavors. We tried an herbaceous salad, roasted eggplant, and "false paella". Each dish was balanced, nuanced, and paired very well with the wine selection. We were especially impressed with the tiramisu, never had it presented in such an elegant way before. Reservations are recommended since the place is more small and intimate. Best food we had in Peru!!

Wow! This truly is an intimate and fine dining restaurant. Cozy, warm, and cool atmosphere. Service was amazing. The food was truly some of the best- delicious tapas for sharing and delicious mains. Really an amazing dining experience overall. Lots of wine options and cocktail options! Highly recommend this place.

A truly beautiful and aesthetic spot in Cusco I love restaurants where every detail feels intentional from the lighting and tableware to the way each dish is presented. Here, literally every corner and every plate is incredibly photogenic, yet the food is genuinely excellent too. We had the trout tiradito with aguaymanto and avocado delicate, fresh and beautifully balanced. The grilled cabbage with creamy polenta, caper butter and parmesan was one of the most surprising dishes of the evening. Simple ingredients, but executed perfectly. We also loved the roasted carrots with goat’s cheese and dukkah, as well as the salad with rocket, tomatoes and pomegranate vibrant, fresh and full of texture. Such a lovely place for a beautiful lunch or dinner with wine

We had a great dinner here yesterday. We have ordered trout and alpaca tartares to start with. Followed by duck and alpaca tenderloin. All dishes were really good and high quality. Cocktails were also really nice. We definitely recommend this place.
