Jason Neroni's rooftop pasta over the Condado lagoon

The lagoon view does most of the talking, but the pasta earns its spot too. Chef Jason Neroni's carbonara with guanciale and rigatoni alla vodka lead the menu, plus a corn agnolotti dusted with tajín that sounds odd and works.

The Dante Alighieri theme barely shows up beyond the name and a cocktail or two. Get there for sunset and let the lagoon do the rest.

I generally dont drop the five star but this place requires it. The service was exceptional..attentive..fun and knowledgeable. The views are incredible..with a nice breeze practical setup of the resturant. The food is beyond exceptional..I had the meatballs..with a white cream sauce that was so rich and savory I should have ordered 2..followed by the chicken carb..which was equally exceptional..amd cooked to perfection...of note I had 2 meatballs and sauce left of which I added to the dish and it was LIGHTS OUTS..hard to express how savory..rich..full of flavor it was..would highly highly recommend and will be going back before I leave. A must when in SJ.

Perfect splurge for our 20 year anniversary! Was bit expensive but we knew that going there. Loved the outdoor over the bay atmosphere table was the perfect setting. Waiter was a stud gave us tons of time to go over the menu and the highlights to go see around the island. The pasta was especially amazing highly recommend it. You will need to get a reservation but it is worth it.

Dante Italian at the rooftop of OLV Fifty Five brings polished, fashionable rooftop dining to Condado. Think Miami rooftop energy with some of the best views overlooking the lagoon. The setting is undeniably beautiful. Sunset here is worth planning around, and the rooftop manages to feel glamorous without becoming completely scene driven. The food was excellent across the board. We started with the tuna crudo and the tomato dish, both fresh and beautifully executed. The standout of the evening was the Mozzarella Calda, Tirata a Mano. Warm hand pulled mozzarella made from local dairy milk that was simple, rich, and absolutely delicious. For mains, Elliott loved the cacio e pepe, while my pancetta was outstanding with incredibly crispy skin and deep flavor throughout. Dessert was a chocolate budino that leaned more toward a melted chocolate experience than a traditional budino, but it was rich, balanced, and satisfying. Our server, Sofia, was stunningly beautiful, highly efficient, and clearly knew what she was doing. The service felt a bit transactional rather than warm, but everything arrived seamlessly and professionally. My only real criticism is the tequila selection. They had run out of Casa Dragones Blanco and the alternative offered was Clase Azul. Anyone who drinks tequila seriously knows Clase Azul is largely a marketing story wrapped in a beautiful bottle. Dante doesn't need more expensive tequila, it needs better tequila. A bottle of Tequila Ocho Plata, Mijenta Blanco, or even Don Julio Blanco would elevate the program far more than another flashy luxury label. Overall, Dante delivers exactly what it promises: a chic rooftop atmosphere, excellent food, spectacular lagoon views, and a dining experience that feels a little bit Miami and a little bit Puerto Rico.

My group and I went to Dante on a Saturday night. We had a reservation for 9:30 PM and we did not sit until 10:45 PM. While the food and drinks were AMAZING and the atmosphere is so much fun, the service is subpar. If you don’t have a personal relationship with the staff or you don’t look like you are going to spend $1,000+, they really couldn’t care less about you or your time. After waiting over an hour for a RESERVATION, and being sat 15 minutes before close, the manager couldn’t even stop by our table to check in. Shout out to our waiter Angel though, he was amazing!

Appetizers Really good, pasta not bad. Overpriced, paying for the ambiance. Drinks awful. Had like 4 cocktails and bad. Started ordering classic cocktails and awful. Veal milanesa, meh. The fish, skip it. Pork under seasoned. The only thing i have not tasted is the Wagyu. Brussel sprouts the first time were amazing, second time too much salt. Like a lot of salt. Been to this place two times and thats too many. Recommend for just the appetizers and waiter service. The bar needs to get their stuff together. If you charge premium, you need too provide premium. Fix your food inconsistency.
