Michael White's Eastern Mediterranean room inside the seashell
A James Beard winner cooking inside a giant concrete seashell sounds like a gimmick. It isn't. Michael White brought Eastern Mediterranean food to La Concha's 1958 shell-shaped shell in March 2025, working the kitchen with executive chef Sebastian Rosado, and the iridescent room tries hard to upstage the food. It doesn't quite manage it.
Order the branzino for two with salsa verde. It's the dish the fish-forward kitchen is proudest of, and dinner runs 5pm to 10pm only.
