Rooftop views over Old San Juan's rooftops

The view is the main course at Mar y Rosa. Perched on top of the ALMA hotel, one side looks out over the harbor, the other over the old city's terracotta roofs.

Sunset is the move and everyone books for it, so reserve ahead if that's your window. Weekend brunch has become its own fixture, and later at night the place eases into more of a lounge.

One of the few restaurants we genuinely loved in Old San Juan. The rooftop views are beautiful, especially at sunset, and the atmosphere is elevated with stylish décor. We also appreciated that the menu goes beyond the usual fried food in San Juan, offering modern fusion dishes with great flavors. Great views, great bites, and definitely worth a visit.

We celebrated my daughter’s birthday and the support from the staff was excellent. They were always available, responded on time and if there were any misunderstandings, everything was resolved very quickly. All of the guests were very happy. Out of all the restaurants where we wanted to make a reservation, only Mar y Rosa responded to us willingly and professionally. Thank you

Food was quite cold when served to us. Cool vibe though and fun to see the city skyline at night. Enjoyed the hamachi taqueria, the queso, BUT yikes the $50+ New York strip being the temperature of our waters was wild. Also the crab fried rice is a lot of work

I was shocked at the review score! My fiance and I had such a good time here, we had the best drinks, great food, we really recommend the shrimp wraps and watermelon salad! Our waitress was so sweet and we were able to hang out by the view near the pool after our meal. I would recommend to anyone!

Mar y Rosa is absolutely amazing! My absolute favorite was the steak tartare with caviar, the blend of flavors is unlike any other I’ve had before! You can tell each dish was prepared with presentation in mind, as each plate was brought out, we kept being wowed! Do not miss out on the one of a kind experience dining here will give you!
