Dos Lobos Empanada Bar: clear, inviting interior atmosphere

Dos Lobos Empanada Bar

★ 4.9 · 77 reviews San Juan Opened 2026

Empanadas built into a whole bar menu

Dos Lobos treats the empanada like it deserves a bar of its own: churrasco, BBQ pernil, pollo guisado and a guava-and-cheese quesito version, all matched with house cocktails and Puerto Rican craft beer. Locations sit in Condado and Old San Juan.

It fills that gap between a snack and a proper dinner. Order three, split a beer flight, and you have covered the pre-night-out meal for under what a Condado entree costs.

One of the best stops for food and drinks on our trip. Simple menu executed perfectly, drinks come quick, and the staff is proud of the place they work at and excited to share with their customers. I loved it here.

Amazing empanadas. And more than a few flavors from with to choose. Great bar area with a decent selection of beers and other alcoholic beverages. A good time was had by all and the food was amazing!

I’m in Puerto Rico for the past 10 days on the hunt for the best empanada. I have hit up 8 different spots and I’m only on day five. However, I ended up at dos lobos twice. I have to say, in my opinion, they have the best empanadas I’ve had so far. The place is a cool vibe. It’s part bar so you can have a drink while smashing empanada after empanada. Alicia was my server and she was a delight. My fav empanada was the pernil with the pina habanero sauce. I also loved the cheeseburger empanada. This place rules and I highly recommend them.

My wife and I stopped by Dos Lobos, and we’re so glad we did. Alyshia was wonderful and took the time to explain how they make their empanadas. The drinks were also excellent. We’ll definitely be coming back again.
