Yoga, singing bowls and quiet, steps from Zhongxiao Fuxing
What do you actually need after a day of Taipei's noise? Probably just quiet. UKETAMO bets on exactly that: Japanese-minimal rooms, house-baked bread at breakfast, and daily yoga and singing-bowl sessions that are the real reason to book, not a brochure line.
It's a small property, so skip it if you want pools and lounges. As a calm base with the whole East District downstairs, it's hard to argue with.

Loved this hotel! Stayed 8 nights and wishing I could have stayed longer. A well managed, clean, comfortable, quiet, understated, modern jewel. Front desk staff (thanks, Johnny) and housekeepers are lovely and welcoming. (Room lighting needs rethinking, though. Frustrating lack of individual control for the various fixtures.) Highly recommended!

I am happy for my stay here for 2 nights. Hotel room is clean, breakfast is great and healthy. They have a nice floor for wellness studio, love their design. I joined one yoga class with Sound Bath in the evening, enjoyable! Location is very convenient.

I have loved staying at this hotel in Taipei. It is very clean, offers excellent service, and all the friendly and helpful people who work here are outstanding. I have very much enjoyed the food at the Bliss & Bone, very fresh and tasty with a very welcome atmosphere. Johnny L who works in the hotel lobby is AMAZING and made my stay as welcome and friendly as if I was at home. I really look forward to staying here again in the future.

A very comfortable and pleasant stay at this new hotel. We did not get to enjoy the yoga classes but the addition of yoga mat and small singing bowl in the room was welcomed. Staff were friendly too. A perfect hotel to wind down after a day of exploring the busy streets of Taipei.

Unforgettable Family Trip Thanks to the Exceptional Service of Kimiko L and the Team. For our first-ever visit to Taiwan, we chose Hotel Uketamo after much research, and it was truly the best decision. While the location, rooms, and overall facilities were excellent, the service we received during breakfast was what truly touched our hearts. We would like to express our deepest gratitude especially to Kimiko L. Not only was the service impeccable, but Kimiko also went above and beyond to answer all our questions about Taiwan with such sincerity. When we asked for local restaurant recommendations, Kimiko took the time to look them up one by one and explained them in great detail. It was a level of hospitality that is rare to find and truly a model for anyone in the service industry. I also want to highly commend the female server who worked alongside Kimiko L during the breakfast service on May 4th. She was incredibly kind and attentive, making our morning even more pleasant. Thanks to their warm hospitality, our family’s first impression of Taiwan has been wonderful. We would definitely choose to stay at this hotel again just to experience this amazing service once more. Thank you, Hotel Uketamo, for such a memorable stay!
