Mountain Madre's agave bar finally hits North Asheville

North Asheville just got a sit-down Mexican kitchen worth dressing up for. This second Mountain Madre, in the old Avenue M space on Merrimon Avenue, runs the same contemporary Mexican menu and agave-forward cocktail list as the downtown original.

The corridor sat without a real cocktail program for months while the building stood empty. Now there's Sunday brunch too, a service the original Walnut Street spot doesn't offer.
