Smashburgers land on Haywood Road in old Taco Boy spot

Roy's local chain is planting its second Asheville spot right where Taco Boy used to be, and the signage already promises smashburgers, sides, ice cream and milkshakes. It joins the growing restaurant strip on Haywood Road, good news for West Asheville.

The original location on Smokey Park Highway runs all day from breakfast through dinner, and this one's expected to keep the same hours. Worth a stop for the smashburger alone.

Food was bomb! Them cooks vack there are doing an AMAZING job! Service was great and atmosphere and customer service was outstanding! Tue guy Ryan in back or house is fun to look at while i was there as well 🤣

This place is what the country needs more of. Quality food at a decent price. We’re drifting too far from this. A burger and fries should not be $20. A 14in pizza for $13 on a Friday? What more can you want. Thank you, you beautiful restaurant.
