Charcoal-grilled small plates from the team behind Mujo

The same team behind Michelin-starred Mujo now runs this supper club across from The St. Regis in Buckhead. Charcoal-grilled seafood and meat come out in small-plate courses, backed by a sake and cocktail list built to match each one.

It's a different kind of night out for Buckhead, less expense-account steakhouse, more the sort of room you'd return to on a random Tuesday.

I went on a date night to Koshu Club. We both ordered a drink, they were solid drinks, nothing to rave about. I ordered the Caesar salad it was good, very different from normal Caesar’s. Then we ordered the O’toro App, it was not flavorful to me given the way it was presented. Stacked with a sauce/glaze. At that point we decided to order an entree and share it. We had the sweet potato side and the A5 wagyu steak w Au Poivre sauce. The Sake Sommelier, let us try some and I like the 3 grain the best. Which you can only get at Koshu.. (black grains) but you can find the white grains around.

First, I want to say that the staff was absolutely amazing. They checked on us frequently, made sure we had everything we needed, and were genuinely accommodating throughout our entire visit. I believe the manager’s name was Rachel, and she was especially helpful in making sure we had a great experience. The ambiance was beautiful and created a really nice atmosphere, although I personally felt the restaurant was a little too dark. That could have just been because of where we were seated. The cocktails were excellent and definitely one of the highlights of the meal. As for the food, it just wasn’t quite for us. The steak was delicious, but the rest of the dishes didn’t really suit our personal tastes. That said, I recognize that food is very subjective and what doesn’t appeal to one person may be someone else’s favorite. I’m still happy to leave five stars because the service, hospitality, drinks, and overall experience were outstanding. Great customer service goes a long way, and this team absolutely delivered.

Koshu delivered such a standout experience that it’s hard to capture it in just a few lines. The draped entrance, the soft lighting, and the warm, top‑tier service set the tone immediately. We sat at the bar with Chris, who guided us through the menu with genuine knowledge and spot‑on recommendations. Savannah stopped by to welcome us as well, adding to the sense that the whole team is invested in your experience. The service at Koshu is truly unmatched. Go—don’t wait.

Last night my partner and I had 8:30 reservations for our anniversary, the second we were welcomed In I knew we were in for an experience to remember. . the low lighting made every table look like a private booth where you can just relax. hip music and a sexy central bar make the room feel less stuffy dining room and more insiders only after hours spot . being welcomed by Deja who apparently believes there’s no detail too small ,she congratulated us on our milestone and offered us glasses of some of the best champagne I’ve ever tasted. All this from a small mention of the occasion in our reservation . Andrew our server could teach a masterclass on how to make a guest feel comfortable when they might not know what to expect from a menu, that frankly had alot of words I just didn’t understand. He went over the menu, explained what made each dish unique and offered suggestions when he could gather the unspoken wants and anticipating the experience we were looking for. The food. -the Edo Caesar salad is elevated to something beyond a simple appetizer. -A miso soup felt so rich and light at the same time. This is a perfectly balanced deeply umami broth that obviously takes time to prepare. If you think Miso soup is something to miss, I assure you this isn’t one to miss. -wagyu menchi katsu sando. 10/10/10 just get it - mushroom Doria perfectly seasoned hot Gratin of rice, mushrooms and béchamel was the perfect side dish to our main courses The 8oz New York strip - I’ve never in my life tasted a steak this tender and flavorful. The Au Poivre was textbook French technique . The texture of the steak is unlike almost any I’ve ever had, these had to have been cows that went to private school. King salmon yaunyaki- very rarely is salmon alone a Star , this perfectly cooked crispy skinned salmon needed no support but took it up a level with a velvety Miso beurre blanc The cocktails and whisky selection were amazing. There’s a drink on the menu which I can’t recall the name of but it was like something youde see in a classic tiki bar in the 60s and its flavor amazing. All in all this restaurant is my favorite in the city, quite possibly the best meal I’ve ever had . Thank you . I can’t wait to be back .

Best addition to Buckhead in recent years! This restaurant is nothing short of excellent between, the food, staff, and the service. We went on a Tuesday night and the restaurant was still full. Whether for a dinner or just hanging at the bar, their team has created one of the coolest spots in Atlanta and specifically in Buckhead. Our waiter, Keith did a fantastic job and knew everything about the menu like the back of his hand. The wine and Sake selection is extensive and the Soms on staff have the knowledge to pair based on clients desires. Even though they opened very recently, the restaurant is already functioning and competing at the highest level. Would not be surprised to see a Michelin star at some point in our future. Go there and have a good time!
