Jewish deli staples out of a diner-sized start

Jake and Ariel Schneider built a following on pop-up pickles and house-cured meats, then squeezed the deli into a small diner space attached to the Ohio House Motel in River North. On 1 April 2026 they opened a second, much larger location on North Halsted: about 1,750 square feet with seats for more than 40.

The bagels, lox plates, matzo ball soup and reubens carried over, along with the house-cured fish and latkes. New here are a full coffee and espresso programme and a 7pm close, late enough to turn it into an evening option rather than a morning one.
