James Trees returns to French bistro cooking on South Main
Trout rillettes with smoked roe and creme fraiche open the menu. Steak frites follows in filet, flat iron or ribeye with beef tallow fries. It reads as bistro and brasserie at once.
Chef James Trees returned to the French technique behind his early training, before Esther's Kitchen made his name in the Arts District. Bar Boheme opened on South Main Street in April 2025, near the rest of his downtown restaurants.

From the cocktails to the entrées and desert everything was outstanding. Every dish was beautifully prepared, full of flavor, and truly memorable. The cherry on top was the exceptional service. Every member of the staff worked together seamlessly to make sure our experience was impeccable from beginning to end. You can tell they genuinely care about every guest. Easily one of the best dining experiences we've had, and we can't wait to return. Highly recommend!

We ate across the menu within our group and it was uniformly excellent. It’s also a very accessible menu and not intimidating to order or eat from. Our service was a little aggressive in the frequency of different servers coming to the table. That’s a small retraction from what was otherwise a top notch dining experience. Highly recommended.

I hosted a birthday dinner at Bar Boheme this past weekend and they provided absolute top notch food and service. I could not be happier with my experience. Jean, who managed our large reservation, was wonderful to work with, and very communicative. The team accommodated one of my guest’s dietary restrictions with incredible attention to detail. This is a fantastic spot in the arts district and you will not regret giving it a try.

I was tagging along on my best friend’s work trip to Vegas. She had a meet-and-greet that I wasn’t planning to attend, so on a Wednesday evening I decided to treat myself to dinner. I searched for Michelin-rated restaurants, only to discover that finding a reservation on a Wednesday was nearly impossible! While looking for a place for a fancy solo date, Bar Boheme kept coming up—and I’m so glad it did. Alex, Allen, Ashley, and Brandon were absolutely phenomenal. Their service, recommendations, and genuine hospitality made the experience truly memorable. Even though my visit was almost two months ago, I can wholeheartedly recommend this little gem in the Arts District, which is already my favorite area of Vegas. I chose the prix fixe menu, and it was absolutely the way to go. Every course was thoughtfully prepared, and the experience felt special from start to finish. If you’re looking for an elevated dining experience. Whether with a date or simply treating yourself—Bar Boheme is well worth a visit. P.S. Please excuse the mediocre photos—they hardly capture how amazing every dish was.
