Hermon's

★ 4.3 · 119 reviews Los Angeles Opened December 2025

An Art Deco church hall between Highland Park and South Pasadena, turned chophouse.

Hermon's opened in December 2025 in a former Art Deco church banquet hall on Monterey Road, in the small neighbourhood it takes its name from. It comes from Last Word Hospitality, the group behind Found Oyster, Queen's and Rasarumah, and it's the first restaurant they've named after its own neighbourhood.

The menu reads like a straight bar-and-grill: chops, crudo, handmade pasta, seasonal salads, a cheeseburger, martinis, and a baked alaska to finish. The Infatuation called it a hipster Hillstone, which is roughly right and not an insult.

Amazing food at Hermon's! The happy hour burger and martini deal is an absolute must- great quality and an unbeatable value. Definitely worth checking out.

I came with my mom and my husband and we had a great time! The ambiance is nice and our server was very friendly. We loved all the food we ordered - the steak frites, the cheeseburger, the ragu bolognese, the grilled asparagus, and the skillet cookie. I would recommend any of these to someone coming to check this place out for the first time. The steak frites took a bit long to come out but our server would check on us + was very apologetic about it. It was so good it was definitely worth the wait in the end! Our server also very kindly gave me an espresso martini on the house to make up for it and it was one of my favorite espresso martinis I've ever had. Mistakes can always happen anywhere so we weren't upset but acknowledging it + making that extra effort to make up for it always goes a long way. All in all I would definitely come back here!

An instant classic and somewhere I want to come back to over and over! Andy took care of us at the bar and gave phenomenal service. He made my fiancé the best martini of his life and was kind enough to offer to make me an incredibly delicious and labor-intensive cocktail after I saw him make one for someone else. Above and beyond! The food was lights-out. Scallop aguachile had the perfect spice and paired phenomenally with the dirty martini. The stone fruit and tomato salad had us singing, particularly the perfectly ripe plums and peaches. We are going to try to emulate this after our next farmers market run. Steak frites with au poivre was another highlight - perfectly cooked steak, fries crispy and sauce perfectly balanced. The playlist was also unmatched, Steely Dan & Led Zeppelin at a formidable volume - just like we like it. We haven’t had such a great meal in a long time - thank you Hermon’s & Andy! We will see you soon.

Just had a Thursday night dinner here, we didn't have a reservation and had hoped to score a couple of bar seats but they were full by the time we checked in. But low and behold they gave us a booth! I quess they had a cancelation 🤷‍♀️ yay! We ordered a lot of stuff, the potato fritter, garlic bread, the rags pasta, the burger 🍔 and to end the meal the lemon baked Alaska 😋 Everything was very delicious! But the stars of the show were the potato fritter and the burger. Seriously amazing flavors on that burger. If there's only one complaint it's that I ordered super well done and it wasn't quite that. The service was great 👍 and the place has a beautiful decor 😍

Be sure to make a resy! Resys go live at 10am, 2 weeks in advance. Great vibe inside and service was excellent. Food highlights were the scallop crudo (get some bread for the sauce - so good), two sheet vognole, and of course the potato fritters. Be sure to save room for the cookie skillet.
