Little Fish began in 2020, when Anna Sonenshein and Niki Vahle were laid off from Son of a Gun and started testing recipes at their house in Echo Park. Pop-ups followed, then a small Echo Park restaurant, then this larger Melrose Hill room.

The cooking is seafood-led and priced to be a neighbourhood habit rather than an occasion: tuna-stuffed olives, beef carpaccio with uni, a fried fish sandwich. The pair took a Bib Gourmand in the 2026 Michelin Guide and its Most Promising Young Chef award for California the same year.

• Lunch runs 12pm to 3pm and dinner 5pm to 9:30pm, Wednesday to Sunday.
