Greek Street

Souvlaki and gyros from the team behind Tréla
Fast, cheap Greek food from people who already know what they're doing. Greek Street sits on NE Glisan in North Tabor, the lunch-counter sibling of Tréla, the Greek restaurant right across the street. Souvlaki, gyros and a lamb burger cover most of the menu.
It's built for a quick lunch, not a sit-down dinner. Get the souvlaki plate if you only order one thing here.

Very casual setting. If you’re out walking in North Tabor, stop by for a cafe setting meal. Quick, friendly service. Great food. Worth the trip.

Authentic Greek food - made by Greeks! Some other “Greek-inspired” restaurant around town actually laughed at me when I said thank you in Greek to them. Not this place! Greek Street and Tréla are THE REAL DEAL! You won’t be disappointed.

Super nice staff, great food. I’ve been here twice in the last two weeks! Luciano made my most recent experience better with his wonderful demeanor… not to mention getting my food in under 5 minutes, I feel like arnold schwarzenegger, “I’ll be back”

I was craving a gyro and boy did they deliver. This was seriously one of the best gyros I’ve had in Portland. The freshly made pita, the meat, fries, veggies and the tzatziki were absolute perfection. I wish I had gotten two. 😜 I took mine to go but was still perfect. This spot is a month old and are from the same owners of Tréla next door. Definitely a go to place for me. When it comes to Greek food, I want real, flavorful authentic dishes and this place hits it every time. I’ll definitely be back!

This is the most delicious and authentic Greek food I’ve had in all of the PNW. Listen friend, and let me tell you a tale. For a year I was fortunate to have lived in Thessaloniki, Greece. The northern capitol is known for its superior food (even Athenians will reluctantly agree). The curse I now bear is being accustomed to that culinary ecstasy. But not only that. I miss the language, the music and welcoming warmth of a Greek taverna. Long have I searched for something like it, always met with a tinge of disappointment. This lovely establishment has brought me relief. Here, you can listen to Greek music, speak some Greek with Napoléon and eat delicious Greek food. I recommend the lamb burger with fries and tzatziki. ευχαριστώ Ναπολέων!
