Rocko's Modern Taphouse opened in Hillcrest in 2026 at 3940 Fourth Avenue, pairing a taplist with a room full of arcade machines.

It reads nineties on purpose, down to the name. Come with a group, put quarters in things, drink local. Not somewhere to plan a meal around.

Great new spot in Hillcrest! 🍻🐶 We tried the Southern Cross IPA, Tropical Mist Blonde, and Jam cider, plus the chicken tenders, chicken Caesar wrap, and tots—everything was great! Owners Justin and Patrick were incredibly welcoming, and of course Rockoe, the mascot dog, was a highlight. Our dog loved it here too! The space looks fantastic with fresh paint, floors, furniture, fire-pit tables, and overhead heaters. There’s also skeeball, pool, claw games, Mortal Kombat II, and four-player Turtles in Time. Add in a great playlist of pop from the last two decades and it’s an awesome place to hang out. Bonus points: the bathrooms are about 500% better than the previous bar! 😂 Great drinks, food, games, atmosphere, and people. We’ll definitely be back!

Absolutely love Rocko’s Modern Taphouse! Amazing beers, such a cool and welcoming vibe, and there’s always something fun going on like bingo and trivia. Justin, the owner, is the best and has created such a great spot for the community. Great drinks, great people, great atmosphere can’t recommend Rocko’s enough!

Such an awesome place! Relaxing environment, great drinks, friendly bartenders, and lots of fun arcade games and pool table. So cute seeing Rocko himself lying down and hanging out. Highly recommend!

Really fun vibe and great outdoor dog friendly patio. The apple pie cider is amazing. Love that they have arcade games, darts and a (free) pool table. Only place in Hillcrest that has all 3. Will for sure be coming back.
