Flying Figs

A wine bar on upper Fillmore, open since May 2026
Flying Figs opened on Fillmore in May 2026, on the block above Bush where the street runs between Japantown and Pacific Heights. It is a wine bar with a food menu rather than a restaurant with a list, and the room is small enough that the bar is where most people end up.
Upper Fillmore has always been a shopping street first, which means the evening trade thins out earlier than on Divisadero a few blocks west. Getting a seat here at eight on a weeknight is realistic.

This place took me back to Paris, I felt like I found my best place, where I might meet my best friends or the love of my life. Salar and Neda the founders make you feel welcome right away. They have an amazing community of successful , charming , tall dark and handsome business owners

Tucked away on Fillmore Street, this new wine bar is a gem. The atmosphere is warm, intimate, and cozy, perfect for catching up with friends or enjoying a relaxed date night. The owners made us feel welcome from the moment we walked in and gave excellent wine recommendations based on what we liked. The wine selection was thoughtfully curated, with a great mix of local and international options. I especially love how unpretentious and inviting the whole place felt.
