The amaro distillery opened a bar of its own in the Mission
Bar Brucato opened on South Van Ness in April 2025, the bar arm of Brucato Amaro, which has been making Italian-style bitter liqueurs in the Bay Area since 2018. Drinking amaro at the source is a different proposition from finding one bottle on a back bar.
South Van Ness is a wide, fast road and not somewhere people stroll, so the bar is a destination rather than a walk-in. Start with the amari list rather than the cocktails if you want the point of the place.
