Kopê House

★ 4.9 · 63 reviews San Francisco Opened July 2026

A Hayes Valley cafe on the quiet Laguna Street side

Kopê House opened on Laguna Street in July 2026, a block off the Hayes Street shopping run and calmer for it. The address sits among flats rather than retail, the kind of corner a cafe usually has to work harder to get found on.

Hayes Valley already has plenty of coffee, most of it on Hayes itself and most of it busy. Coming here trades a slightly longer walk for a seat.

Congrats on the new business! Hole in a wall with outdoor seating. Service is what you want it to be, warm welcome and kindness. Coffee and pastries / tartes are excellent. (Dog approved)

I am a picky coffee drinker and this coffee was delicious. I had hot decaf latte with whole milk. Not sure I've ever had a better latte. No bitterness. Very smooth and robust flavor. The foam art was cute. The two guys were friendly and personable but had a lot of trouble keeping a very simple order straight. (Two identical lattes, and a third latte that was different). I can't imagine how they handle busy times but hopefully they'll come up with good systems as time goes on. There was a short line when we got there mid-afternoon. It's a small shop with basically only enough standing room for the people who are ordering and waiting for their coffee to be inside. There are a few tables/chairs on the sidewalk (3-5 tables?).

We have traveled all over the us getting coffees and this is one of the best lattes I’ve ever had. Genuinely can’t wait to go back and the barista was super cute to us and nice. Great experience.

You awake from an AI filled dream in San Francisco only to find yourself having the best coffee drink in the city. Rent is high, the work sucks, but at least you get world class coffee. Short and sweet -- enjoy it while it lasts!

Great new coffee spot in Hayes Valley. Passion fruit chocolate cappuccino was delicious with complex, not too sweet flavor. The tomato jam scone was one of the best pastries I’ve had in SF. Baristas were knowledgeable and friendly. Will definitely be returning.
