Focaccia by the slice on Post Street, opened June 2026
Golden Focaccia opened on Post Street in June 2026, in the block of small storefronts between Hyde and Leavenworth where lower Nob Hill runs into the Tenderloin. The whole menu is built around focaccia, sold by the piece and filled to order.
It is a takeaway-first operation in an area with a dense residential population and very little counter service food that is not fried chicken or a corner store sandwich. Slices go faster in the afternoon than at lunch.

Stopped by for some road food and picked up a few panini and a pinsa. Not only were the owners super friendly and warm, but the food was outstanding. Excellent, authentic focaccia that is nearly impossible to find in the US.

The focaccia sandwiches are great, and all the ingredients were super fresh! Pizza was also great, very light and airy

Great new pizza and sando spot at the site of the old Milkbean. Golden Focaccia is keeping the giant sandwich tradition alive

Stopped by Golden Focaccia and tried the Parma Pizza and the Golden Focaccia Signature Sandwich—both were so good! The focaccia was fresh and delicious, and the pizza had amazing flavor. You can tell they use quality ingredients and put a lot of care into the food. Definitely worth a visit if you’re in SF. Can’t wait to come back! 🍕🥪✨
